Northwest Machining and Manufacturing
Also Known As: Santa Clara Machining
Time Period: 1996-2000
Facility Type: Beryllium Vendor
Facility Description: Northwest Machining provided machine shop services to Sandia National Laboratory, California. This work involved beryllium materials.
It could not be determined if the beryllium activities for the contract work were conducted in separate parts of the facility away from work for other customers. There is no specific mention of decontamination activities after the contracts were terminated.
Telephone contact with current company officials provided the following information: (1) thefacility still exists; and (2) no specific beryllium decontamination was conducted since therewas no grinding of the materials.
The documentation reviewed and information provided by company officials indicates that no record of beryllium decontamination could be found.
Northwest Machining and Manufacturing is listed as a Beryllium Vendor (BE) under the EEOICPA.
